About Me
Bob was brow-beaten all the way
through high school in the 1960's that there were only two courses of study:
Science. The cold war was on as was the
space race. This was for the intelligent people who were going
to rule the world and have great and rewarding careers.
And
Business.
This was a watered down courses, with little depth of science, for dummies
who were destined for menial, less educated careers.
Since his father had been
a mathematic genius and outstanding engineering graduate of R.P.I. Bob
thought his only course of action was the scientific route so he took
science and then enrolled as a pre-med student at
Siena College in
Loudonville, New York.
After all, he was working weekends as an orderly in a local hospital
so he must have wanted to be a doctor, right? Not really.
What he really wanted to do was to be a rock and roll star, rich and famous
like the Beatles, his heroes.
He did end up discovering a talent for song writing and eventually wrote
over 360 original tunes. He also performed in a few "garage
bands" and was laughed off a few stages. He plays several
instruments, but mostly just for composing songs. Ironically, 30
years after high school he discovered that the "dummies" in the watered
down business courses were infinitely more successful in life than the
"scientists". He was in pre-med for two and a half years then
switched his major to English. He also took psychology courses,
6 credits shy of a double major. So with a 4-year degree in
English and strong minors both in Biology and Psychology his career path was
clear---SALES!!!
Bob worked for about 20 years in the wholesale food distribution services
industry, especially in Los Angles where within 4 years of moving from
upstate New York he owned a one million
dollar beach front 4-plex in Seal
Beach California.
It's all a matter of public record. He purchased it in
May of 1988 and the address was
1617 Seal Way, Seal Beach,
California, 90740.
Feel free to look it up.
An auto accident in which he was rear-ended in a 5-car pileup on one
of the busiest freeways, hit at 55mph, put Bob on disability for 6 months
and during this period his company folded and he returned to upstate New
York. He ended up in the radio sales business there in 1994 and
has been in that industry now for almost 15 years. Since then
the industry has morphed from just on air commercials to Internet and
Special Event Sales as well.
So with a truly
Renaissance education and a wide variety of successful people skills in some
of the most competitive businesses in the world Bob has truly been "around
the block"---sometimes face first! Bob has learned that
network marketing is truly the wave of the future.
Bob is considered a superstar at WDUV, 105.5FM, The
Dove.
